One of the things I’ve always been an advocate of is continued learning. This is certainly not a kick in the head or something that others will tell you not to do. It is a given. Because of the age of the internet, there is now so much more at the tips of your fingers that you can use to increase your knowledge.
But like anything else, for everything that you find on techniques to use to help you accomplish the goals you have, you will find others that are the exact opposite. So in order to put yourself in the position to be able to utilize the FREE information you find on the internet, you have a lot of research to do. You will have to study several and maybe even dozens of techniques and strategies of certain topics to firstly decide what to even consider valid. Yes you will end up having to wade through mountains of dung to decide what is even valid for your situation. Then after that you could actually come away with a valuable tidbit or nugget of information that has the possibility of transforming your understanding and income while the rest of their teachings may be garbage. How can you even be assured the advise is worthwhile let alone be able to recognize it?
So I’m going to fall back on an old adage our fathers taught us and that is that we get what we pay for. Yes, some of that information more than likely is available out on he internet for free. But it won’t be in the same place, the same context, the same ease of finding, and could be simple presented by someone who hasn’t even walked in those moccasins so to speak. There are many out there that are touting their expertise without having actually done the very thing they say they are going to teach you.
I used to skimp on my training and thought I could learn it all on my own. Now I gladly pay teachers and mentors who have a proven track record of earning literally multi-million dollars and accomplishing something of significance. I also pay strict attention to what they are teaching and try to implement their ideas. If you are serious about growing your business you will need to open up your wallet.
In the famous words of Jeffrey Combs, “If you don’t treat your business as a professional, then you are just an amateur. Amateurs don’t get paid anything, professionals do.”
*Pst… There’s a hint in that last sentence.

The first thing that comes to mind with ways to minimize stress is exercise, plain and simple. So the number one excuse is time. So whats the best way. Well I’ve been doing some research on someone named Tabata. Dr. Izumi Tabata is a former researcher at Japan’s National Institute of Fitness and Sports. In a study he found that someone training in HIT (High Intensity Training) vs some LIT (Low Intensity Training) that the time it took for the HIT to achieve more benefits than the LIT subjects was a factor of 72 to 1. That is not a typo. This was preformed over 8 days. This found that 8 days of HIT lasting only 280 seconds elevated both GLUT-4 and the maximal glucose transport activity to that of the people preforming the LIT.
A HIT cycle consists of doing high intensity exercise for 20 seconds and resting 10 then repeating it. The workouts I’m now doing last 6 simple minutes. If that type of exercise isn’t for you, going hiking, or rowing, palates, and yoga can also accomplish the same thing, but will require much much more time. I plan on alternating between the two on off days and resting on Sunday.
So as the new year is coming, if you want to learn more about Tabita training check out http://www.squidoo.com/tabatatraining. I’ve been an advocate of using Kettlebell training and Tabita Training fits hand and glove with Kettlebells. You can find out more about Kettlebell training at www.DragonDoor.com. Remember, it will reduce stress in your life and give you much more energy!
Till next time.

Thank you for taking the time to read about me. For that I am grateful. For those that already know me and those that don’t, I have had several ventures into the online world. I was first online 8 years ago with a political blog and about 2 years ago with a traffic and internet marketing blog. The political blog was a huge success and was really fun; for a while. It actually evolved my political views and now I feel there is no politician that can save us, nor should it be their role. The traffic and marketing blog started becoming to much like a job. I am a 25 year IT professional and a lot of what I was writing about was that. There are rewarding moments but I’ve decided to change where I spend my passion. I didn’t want to write about the profession.
While I’ve always been an advocate of personal development, over the last 3-4 months I’ve immersed myself with personal development, psychology, networking, and success. This has given me introspection into what makes me tick and I realized what I really enjoy when all is said, is people. It was people who I met and interacted with while writing on the other blogs that interested me. I am interested in what they do, what they like, what their challenges are, what drives them, and what their dreams and aspirations are.
I’ve also fairly recently become a 50 year old and have become more health conscious. I’ve always liked to participate in sports and exercise. At age of 40 I became a black-belt in Tae-Kwon-Do. But over the years due to life’s circumstances and health, have not trained in over 8 years. My weight steadily stole 4-5 pounds each year. I found it hard to control my weight. At the end of last spring I had enough. Now I’ve never been able to lose weight strictly because of diet. It also had to involve exercise. But I have health challenges with creaky knees and joints. Pain is the operative word here. So how was I going to exercise. This led me to studying about nutrition and the health-care industry in general. What I found is that in most cases the industry really is only a band-aid to cover symptoms. This eventually led me to the Health and Wellness company I currently spend my efforts and time with. I learned the science behind nutrition and started taking supplements. I now have lots of energy, no longer suffer with joint problems, have lost close to 60 pounds, and most importantly, get to spend time with and learn about people. People just like you and me.
While I still have an interest in traffic generation and the technical things dealing with software and the internet, I am no longer going to focus on it. I am now going to write about things I think that people will relate to. I’m going to write about personal and business development, life, work, living, diet and exercise, a myriad of how-tos, speckled with humor. It is my hope that I will be able to entertain and educate and pass on what I’ve learned over the last few years and through my experiences. I ask that if you enjoy what you read here to share it with others. Follow me while I transition from my left brain thinking to the right.
