I had no idea there was a different effect taking place when I would visit my blog site after publishing instead of previewing the post. Thanks for the heads up. Now I have the plug-in installed. Great post, Chris!

Every day it seems there is a new success “secret” for doing business online. It is amazing how the age-old qualities of working with integrity and putting the interests of others first still come out as the winners. Thank you for this clear admonition to build a business others can respect and trust.

This is information that I didn’t know! (I don’t know so much!) I was so proud of myself knowing how to make changes! I published a post in the rough draft form! Then I added clip art and published it to see how it looked. Then I updated it again and again! I didn’t realize that was hurting me! Now I know! I’m anxious to read on!

Hi Chris
Something sop simple can mean so much. I kind of new what a ping did but never really understood it until you laid it out in plain english. I dont always use preview so i wonder if any ping sites have banned me already! Thaks for the lesson Chris – you asre the way forward at the moment
Cheers,
Matt
I think it is also important to use a nice, responsive Ping list in addition to plugin you suggest. I have seen too often that people copy/paste humongous list that is not needed as often it duplicates itself in many places.

Great read, i think slugs play a huge part in the ranking of pages directly especially for long tail keywords and keyphrases.
Great article. I have just downloaded MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer and I will give it a shot. I would like to thank you for this article and Ping List.

Thank you very much indeed.
Beware of frequent pinging. That could give an unmountable damage too.
