I agree wholeheartedly with the reputed story of Michaelangelo saying that the figure of David resided within the stone and that all he had to do was expose it. This is the true mark of a leader - an individual who can recognize 'hidden' talents in others and develop them to the full.

I love the reference to Michaelangelo's story of David....it is such a great example of the power of holding a vision. It takes being crystal clear about what we are looking to create, and then fine-tuning with our chisel along the way. The masterpiece is already there!

Chris, this is a top notch list of qualities and traits of leadership ~ I couldn't agree more than integrity stands above the rest.

Thanks so much for your leadership ~ it is indeed attractive! :)

Such a positive vibe noted! Awesome post you gave us here Chris!

I think we really do have to look and listen to get that connectedness.
And I love that. There are many self checks to make and sometimes
teachable is the only thing I would accept in absense of other qualities
and traits (and gotta love enthusiasm! - slightly bridled that is...)

I love this post Chris!

True leaders can see the brilliance in someone and bring out that brilliance from within. Each of the characteristics you listed are right on and so key. My experience is that you have to determine those that you want to work with, those with the right qualities and those that resonate with you and your personally.

Awesome information here! I will be sharing this with everyone I know. :)

Thanks!

Danielle

Big-Picture-thinking- That is the key for me- Keeping your eyes on the outcomes that you want. Love what you say here. If you have ever been to the David in Florence, there are also Michelangelo's unfinished works. Fascinating- The form is emerging from the stone and you can look at the stone and see the big picture.

Thanks Bruce and everyone. While we certainly are not perfect, it certainly has to help knowing what to even examine. Some of these are not always easy to adhere to after being taught in somewhat unethical manners, but if your young and just starting out, there really is no way for you to fail if you live by these traits.

And you can also teach an old dog new tricks. (Woof!)

Have a remarkable day.

Chris…what a great post. How many hidden nuggets are buried even within ourselves that we have yet to unearth to come into our full leadership potential.

I love the list…it helps me look at myself and see where I may be faltering a bit as well.

Great Stuff as always!

Leadership is one of the key elements in successful attraction marketing. The interesting thing is that anyone can achieve it with effort and time!
