You make some really insightful points Chris.
Your idea about webinars demonstrating leadership qualities is so important in business (and in life), because we always tend to put our trust and confidence in someone who has relevant and authoritative credentials.
Running a webinar is a great way to demonstrate your own credentials to a targeted niche audience.
Of course, as you suggest in point four, you need to be careful to communicate your "expertise" in plain English. It's actually an advantage if your topic can only be fully explained in subsequent presentations, because it allows you to invite your audience to take the next (potentially paid) step to learn more.

Good tips , Chris! Webinars are a great vehicle for people to learn and grow from, too. Hopefully the first times can be met with this skill set that you give. It would have saved me a few ef-ups that I had to live through.

Hi Chris
A great post and I must say having put my toe in the water recently it is a skill I want to master. I think Webinars are a great way to learn and it is so nice to be able to connect people all over the planet.
I agree with all of your points. I just need to practice.

Your most certainly welcome Stevie!

It really does take a bit of work but with proper training and mindset anything is possible.

By the looks of my comment above I would perhaps need to master the art of putting one word correctly before the other!

Loving your association, perspective, leadership and inspiration...

Your welcome Robin.

I think leadership no matter how much we are trained will only happen in 20% of us. Pareto's law says that only 20% ever act upon things and even then circumstances come into play which makes that number even smaller. Throw in peer pressure and you only have about 3-5 leaders that do something with the skill. A leader is not measured by how high a position he attains but by how high those around him get lifted.

So Robin, When are you going to have a webinar?

Great assessment and advise Chris. I do enjoy the getting to know you factor when hooking up to a webinar. In fact that is one thing that brings the person in a bit closer to me. Seeing is powerful in my book and so is hearing when getting an edge on information as well. It is impressive when the whole shebang goes smoothly, but it is fine with me when the human element of handling glitches and humility are present, too... it makes it more realistic! Ha!

So I would add to be prepared in that one should be ready to ad-lib as needed which does take some finesse :)

I do believe there is a leadership occurring in all of us. In my mind someone is following you regardless if it is truly beneficial or not... followers following followers for example. You have me thinking on this one where as ones mindset deters or propelling us.

Much thanks,
Robin
