Man, we have a lot in common. Like blue, pizza, cartoons (I like Felix the Cat as well), music (although I prefer vocals), underdogs. I take a pass on flying though. I think I'll start working on my list of stuff about me as well. Good post Chris.

Hey! I am very happy that you enjoyed your experience in Moldova... :) Regarding that guy you spoke to, IF you could understand a world here, there, are you sure it was russian, it could be romanian, russian is NOTHING like english, so its impossible to understand, and "Da" its also "yes" in Romanian... Maybe the thing that you told him you cannot speak russian is what make him slap his forehead and laugh, it happens very often, since people that come here are very sure that the locals speak russian only, which is not. Anyway, i am very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your time in my country, and if you come again to Moldova (or Romania, or even Ukraine), PLEASE write me and I can be very helpful with everything, and I am serious about it. I am a US Department of State Exhange student at University of Wisconsin - Richland, here in Richland Center, WI. Since US Government and American people helped me a lot, I want to make sure I am helping people that come to my country too.. :) Thanks for sharing your experience!
Best wishes,
Victor

Thank you everyone!

Kellie, you make is sound like I'm ready to pack it in. I'm just beginning! Isn't "old 80’s hits" an oxymoron?

Sharlene, I just got done reading CRUSH IT by Gary Vanerchuck and he makes a point of wrapping his work with his personal life. He draws no distinction nor does he consider his business work. It's his passion. Sounds like you then?

Bev, Yes I look forward to meeting you in person. And what a better place to get pizza, in the midwest pizza capital, Chicago.

Country, I'll be sure to send you some Copenhagen. You know a way you can tell if someone is level headed? When the juice from their snuff runs down their corners of their mouth are both the same length. LOL

Bruce, Sounds like your hands are full. I enjoy soccer but only like watching it at the world cup level. I sat many a cold rainy day on the sidelines watching 1-nil soccer matches. I like the big screen TV and lazy-boy.

Thanks for sharing everyone.

Chris…I loved reading this. I see so many of your tweets and of course it caused me to wonder who is behind the words and the constant exposure. It has been great to get a feel for who you are just a bit. Thank you for sharing.

Okay…I'll answer one of the questions since I love sports very much myself. I have always liked most sports but recently have narrowed it down to basically two that I follow closely: Professional soccer…mostly English and other European teams and also Professional Cycling (not quite as closely as the soccer).

Since 6 out of my 7 children play soccer (and I play a couple of times/week) it seems a natural fit for our family to enjoy watching it as well. One of the greatest things I realized from watching the best soccer in the world (actually it was from observing my eldest son who very much loves the sport) was how much you can learn from people who have already spent years learning the game. My eldest son has put this very much into practice and is quickly becoming one of the best soccer players in N. California for his age.

I was able to take this understanding and put it into practice in my business. That is how I came to meet you and so many other wonderful people who have come to the same understanding…learn from those who have already been there. So…we learn from some of the very best (Jonathan Budd & company) and then we are able to turn that around and share the expertise that we are gaining with others who have also realized that it is better to get learn from someone else and save time and money in the process than struggle for years reinventing the wheel.

Anyhow…thanks again Chris and of course I wish you the very best success and blessings!

Hi Chris,

This is great! It sounds like you have done a lot in your life. Having a 15 minute conversation in Russian when you don't speak Russian is priceless.

I would love to travel the world and experience true culture because I just love people. As a tourist you definitely do not get to experience much more than you do at home. I remember going on a cruise to Mexico and at the port there was a Wal Mart. Talk about pathetic! I am a die hard sports fan, which makes my husband very happy. I enjoy contemporary christian music today but never miss a chance to listen to some old 80's hits such as Duran Duran or U2.

What a great blog you have, Chris. Keep it coming!

This post is so fun! I like knowing these bits of information about you. Maybe I will get one together about me one day soon.
My life could be a soap opera story line. :)
Stay tuned, I just might do it.
I love pizza too so maybe we find some good Pizza places in Chicago and try it out.
Your Blog is amazing!

Hey Chris,

I loved getting to know you better. You are a fascinating guy.

I solo'd in a 1946 J-3 Cub. That was an awesome little tail dragger!

My favorite music is old country. Merle Haggard, Waylon, Willie, Tom T Hall, Neil McCoy, Charlie Pride. Today I love anything my son-in-law plays, yes even his hip-hop.

Check him out, he is on his way to the top http://NicklHagelin.com

Some of my favorite times were when I was 13-15 years old, playing the Maraboro Man while riding horses. The cigarettes made me cough, but I thought I was way cool. I rode, trained, showed and broke horses through high school. I never played any organized sports. My dad wasn't into that so I guess I wasn't either.

While in college we sold all of our horses and started flying airplanes. It seemed liked my dad traded airplanes like he did the horses. He definitely taught me the secrets of wheeling and dealing.

My nick name in college was "Country". LOL! The stories I could tell...but this is a family show right?

Thanks for the trip down memory lane Chris!

You have a choice so, make it a better than terrific day!

Terry

Hey there Chris,

This was great!
I also get accused of talking work all the time, I think it's because I'm so passionate about what I do. But, I do like to have my fun!
So I could really relate to this article and I have to fess up: I used to watch "Man from Uncle" and I like a lot of the same movies that you listed.
Thanks for letting us get to know you a little bit better :-)

Take Care,
Sharlene
